The Fractured Lighthouse

The Fractured Lighthouse follows three families who come from very diverse backgrounds – one Muslim, one Jewish, and one Christian. It is an odd mix of religions and cultures, but they become very close friends as they navigate life in a small, racist, Midwest town. Wall, Michigan, their new home, is an intentionally white town that has no desire to welcome people unlike themselves. Though Wall has put up little resistance to the Muslim and Jewish families, the new Black United Methodist pastor crosses a line that the residents cannot ignore.
Triumph and tragedy follow these families as Reverend James Washington attempts to make a positive impact from his United Methodist pulpit. The adults of these three families are most concerned about their children, who take the brunt of the racially prejudiced hatred at school. From day one they find themselves in a battle for equality and their lives.
Will they make a positive difference? Will they be allowed to remain in town? Will they make it out alive? Follow the story which presents several historical elements. You will cheer for these families as they become an example of how unity can be found in diversity. You may find yourself wanting to join the fight to bring peace to our nation and world.
