We did this separately from each other. I do not know what she wrote and vice versa. We folded the ten strips of paper. I put mine in one bowl, and she put hers in another. Starting the next day (12/22), we each picked out a slip from our respective bowls. We did not look at what was written. We simply burn each one in the fireplace. We have done this for nine nights. Tonight, we will burn our last slip. On the last day of 2024, we will each look at our respective goal and that will be our focus for 2025. It doesn’t mean we will disregard the other items, but our main focus will be on the one item that did not get set aflame.

This whole process has been very exciting. I’m curious to know what mine will be. I’m curious to know what my wife’s will be. Will they be similar? Will they be contrary? Only time will tell. I will let you know what lies ahead for each of us in 2024.
